Dr Gagandeep Takhar

Dr Gagandeep Takhar MBBS BSc (Hons) MRCP has worked as a consultant physician and rheumatologist at the West Middlesex Hospital, part of Chelsea & Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, since October 2015. Her specialist interests include: rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis, connective tissue disease, osteoporosis, gout, hypermobility and soft tissue rheumatology.
Dr Takhar qualified as a Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery in 2005 from Royal Free and University College London Medical School.
Following her two years’ foundation training at hospitals in and around the London area, she completed her core medical and specialist training in rheumatology and general internal medicine in 2015, having held training posts at University College London Hospital, Hammersmith Hospital , Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, Royal Free Hospital, Northwick Park Hospital and West Middlesex University Hospital.
A regular contributor to national conferences Dr Takhar has also been published in peer-reviewed journals. Throughout the course of her career, she has led a number of audits and quality improvement initiatives. Dr Takhar also has an active role in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate trainees.
