Mr. Giulio Garaffa

Mr Giulio Garaffa is a Consultant Uro-Andrologist practising at Harley Street Specialist Hospital. He specialises in andrology and male genital reconstruction, with clinical interests including male-factor infertility, erectile dysfunction, Peyronie’s disease, penile curvature and urethral conditions.

Mr Garaffa completed his medical and specialist urological training with honours at the University of Trieste in Italy. He subsequently undertook a three-year fellowship in Andrology and Complex Male Genital Reconstruction at University College London Hospitals and was appointed as a substantive consultant in 2011.

In 2015, Mr Garaffa completed a PhD in Biotechnologies of Human Reproduction at Sapienza University of Rome. His doctoral research examined genetic abnormalities associated with male infertility. In 2022, he obtained Italian academic habilitation for the role of Full Professor in Urology.

Mr Garaffa has published extensively within the fields of andrology and reconstructive urology, contributing to numerous peer-reviewed articles and book chapters. He was also a co-author of the European Society for Sexual Medicine’s 2022 position statement on the surgical treatment of Peyronie’s disease.

He regularly participates in specialist education, international lectures and surgical masterclasses concerning andrology and male genital reconstruction.
