Mr Kaser Nazir
BSc (Hons) FCPodS
Consultant Podiatric Surgeon
Vastly experienced consultant podiatric surgeon Mr Kaser Nazir BSc (Hons) FCPodS has worked at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust since 2002, where he carries out corrective and reconstructive foot and ankle surgery. His role also includes taking responsibility for auditing his department and conducting in-depth research to make sure that the foot and ankle service is constantly updated with best practice. In his private practice, Mr Nazir is Clinical Director of London Foot and Ankle Surgery.
After qualifying in 2001 from the London Foot Hospital and School of Podiatric Medicine, Mr Nazir trained in London, Surrey, and Norfolk, and at St Francis Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut, which led to him being awarded his Fellowship in Podiatric Foot Surgery.
He takes an extremely contemporary approach to managing disorders of the foot and ankle, making the most of cutting-edge treatments and diagnostic techniques, to consistently deliver the best possible results and allow patients to return to their normal lives with minimal disruption. He also believes in giving patients all the evidence they need, so they can make informed decisions about their treatment. Wherever possible he seeks to treat conditions non-operatively and his pioneering specialist ultrasound guided injection techniques to aid diagnosis are a great help in achieving this goal.
Having treated elite sportspeople, he has a particular interest in sports injuries and other specialisms include tendon repairs, flat foot reconstruction, forefoot reconstruction, hammer toe correction, bunion surgery, ankle keyhole surgery (arthroscopy) and ankle stabilisation.
A member of several professional bodies, he teaches and lectures his fellow foot and ankle specialists and is a regular speaker at conferences.
