Mr Ravinder Pabla BSc, BDS, MFDS, MBBS, MRCS, FRCS (OMFS) is a respected Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon based at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust.

Having graduated from St Bartholomew’s and The Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry, University of London with distinctions in both Dentistry and Medicine, Mr Pabla has invested more than 23 years of training prior to his appointment as a consultant surgeon. This encompassed a thorough grounding through exposure to Maxillofacial Surgery, ENT Surgery and Plastic Surgery at leading centres across the United Kingdom followed by specialist training at Northwick Park, University College London, Great Ormond Street and Royal London Hospitals.  After certification of training, he chose to enhance his skills via a prestigious Fellowship post at The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, Australia with facial deformity training under the guidance of world-renowned specialists.

Since appointment as a consultant, he has been departmental lead for head and neck skin cancer surgery and is a core member of the formal Skin Cancer Multidisciplinary Team. Through coordination of the department’s complaints responses, he seeks to maximise patient satisfaction and make improvements so similar issues are less likely to recur.

Interests include the treatment of both children and adults for a range of conditions related to the face, mouth, jaws and neck such as facial deformity, skin cancers, wisdom teeth, buried / misplaced / missing teeth, jaw cysts and tumours, mouth and tongue problems, management of benign lumps, salivary glands, trauma, diagnosis of cancer, and jaw joint problems.

He works closely with specialists across a range of fields including head and neck cancer surgeons, orthodontics, dermatology, oncology, oculoplastics and nursing so that patients are offered the best and most appropriate options for their care.

As an educational supervisor for qualified doctors and dentists in further training, University of London medical school undergraduate examiner and postgraduate examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of England, Mr Pabla has shown a commitment to advancing the next generations of healthcare providers.

Mr Pabla has an extensive list of academic publications and presentations encompassing chapters in textbooks, articles in peer-reviewed journals and contributions to national / international specialty meetings.
