Mr Spencer Hodges is a highly regarded and experienced consultant oral and maxillofacial surgeon, with a passion for treating conditions of the face, mouth, neck and jaws with precision to obtain the best aesthetic outcomes.  He prides himself on achieving the highest levels of care and communication with patients.

He has extensive experience in all areas of oral and maxillofacial surgery, with a specialist interest in facial reconstruction after skin cancer removal, correcting jaw deformity, and treating head and neck lumps.

A leading surgeon in the field, Mr Hodges was a consultant oral and maxillofacial surgeon at King’s College Hospital in London for over 10 years, before becoming a full time private oral and maxillofacial surgeon in 2021.

He holds degrees in both medicine and dentistry from Guy’s and St Thomas’ hospitals, becoming a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in oral and maxillofacial surgery in 2009. He undertook his surgical training at internationally renowned medical teaching institutions including Guy’s Hospital, St Thomas’ Hospital and King’s College Hospital in London, Queen Victoria Hospital East Grinstead and Stoke Mandeville Hospital and was privileged to learn alongside some of the UK’s pre-eminent maxillofacial surgeons.  In 2010, he underwent further training in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery on the JCST’s prestigious Interface Fellowship in Reconstructive Cosmetic Surgery.

Mr Hodges has a broad maxillofacial practice treating all face, mouth, neck and jaw disorders, including wisdom teeth removal, dentoalveolar procedures, temporomandibular joint conditions, facial injuries, facial pain, orthognathic & facial deformity surgery, facial cosmetic treatment, skin cancer, removal of facial lumps and bumps, head and neck lump removal and salivary gland surgery.

An experienced teacher of surgeons at all stages of their career, Mr Hodges also provides regular training and talks to GPs and dentists and reviews academic papers for British Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
